By accessing or using Hue Journal ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.
Hue Journal is an offline AI emotional companion and journaling application that:
To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You agree to:
Local Processing: All AI conversations are processed locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or analyze your journal entries or conversations.
Account Data: We collect minimal account information (email and name) necessary for authentication and subscription management.
Third-Party Services: Optional features may use third-party services (ElevenLabs for voice synthesis, Stripe for payments). These services have their own privacy policies.
Subscription Plans: Hue Journal offers free and paid subscription tiers with different feature limits.
Billing: Paid subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your payment method for the subscription fees.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account dashboard. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds: We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods except as required by law.

Open Source: Hue Journal is open-source software licensed under the MIT License. You may fork, modify, and distribute the code according to the license terms.
Your Content: You retain all rights to your journal entries and conversations. We do not claim ownership of your content.
Trademarks: "Hue Journal" and associated logos are trademarks. You may not use them without permission.
Not Medical Advice: Hue Journal is not a substitute for professional mental health care. The App provides emotional support but is not a replacement for therapy, counseling, or medical treatment.
Crisis Support: If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately.
AI Limitations: The AI may produce inaccurate, inappropriate, or harmful responses. Use your judgment when interpreting AI-generated content.
No Warranty: The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.
You are responsible for backing up your journal data. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, software bugs, or user error. We recommend regularly exporting your data as a backup.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion.
You may delete your account at any time through the App's Dashboard (https://huejournal.app/dashboard). Upon deletion, your account data will be permanently removed from our servers.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service is operated, without regard to conflict of law provisions.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Hue Journal regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
